SNSD Continue To Rise

SNSD has previously proven their popularity in Japan by breaking records and managing to achieve a high number of sales for their singles. The nine girls only keep reaching new highs as they continue with further promotion plans in Japan.

Soon after releasing Genie earlier this month, the single went straight up the charts and impressed many with their staying power. But on the 21st and 22nd the single went down to No. 13 and No.15. Although some fans were initially worried about the girls not being in the top ten, the girls showed their power once again as they went to No.9 on the 23rd.

But it didn’t stop there as the girls were able to get in on the top five at the No. 5 spot behind well-known singers Ayumi Hamasaki and Koda Kumi. It seems their album sales have given an interest to many curious listeners who have become fans after listening to the catchy single.

Meanwhile, the girls will be heading back to Japan after the Chuseok holidays in order to promote their second single Gee, which has reached the No.2 position on the Oricon charts.
