Today Nike launches its (NIKE) RED campaign in 13 countries around the world – designed to fight AIDS in Africa. 100% of the profits go to the Global Fund and to Nike football-based programs. The first product to be introduced are (NIKE) RED laces, specifically designed for football boots and endorsed by the likes of Didier Drogba (Chelsea), Joe Cole (Chelsea), Andrei Arshavin (Arsenal), Marco Materazzi (Inter Milan), Denilson (Arsenal), Lucas Neill (Everton), Clint Dempsey (Fulham) and Seol Ki-Hyeon (Fulham). Bono’s been wearing them on the U2 360 Tour and “Man of the Match” Didier Drogba actually wore them during yesterday’s Chelsea vs Arsenal match, although the laces can be used on any sneaker. A release is expected on December 1st through select Nike stores, Nike stockists worldwide, and NikeStore.com.
