With Atlanta serving up some of the hottest product in the rap game, native son Young Jeezy stands as one of the most exciting merchants of cool to emerge in years. Like many hustlers on the mic, rapping wasn't in Jeezy's original game plan. As CEO of Corporate Thug Entertainment, Jeezy was content to stack his paper from the background.

"Before music I was just trying to survive out this motherfucker. I had other artists, some local cats off the street, but it didn't work out," explains the twenty-five year old Georgia native. "So I just decided to do it myself. Ain't nobody gonna go as hard as you gonna go. I saw the bigger picture at the time. I have a way with words and I know how to hustle."

Having lost many things in his life-- family, friends and time (a prison bid that he doesn't like to give too much light)--Jeezy had a sense of urgency about his music. So he hit the mixtape circuit with exclusive tracks recorded with longtime collaborator Shawty Red. With over 100,000 mixtapes and over 200,000 Trap Or Die DVD's sold in a little more than a year, Def Jam decided to invest in the youngster and made him the most recent signee to the label.

"Basically, I'm a real nigga so I can relate more to a lot of cats," Jeezy says of his appeal. " I don't just do music for the clubs, I do music for the struggle. I do music for everyday niggas, the kids who ain't got no sense of direction. I'm trying to restore some of the morals back into the game, as far as the street."

What sets Young Jeezy's music apart is his ability to bring color and flash to a story that has been told so many times before. He's a true digital age artist who doesn't need 16 bars to develop a picture in your head. When he snaps off a verse the image is simple enough for everyone to feel it instantly.

"In one night ten bitches, eight bottles of Cris/forty grand just to make you stare at my wrist" he rattles off on his hit "Air Forces." Jeezy's undeniable swagger has made everyone from UGK's Bun B to Sean "P. Diddy" Combs stand up and take notice. But it's the folks grinding from day-to-day that will get the most out of Jeezy's street scriptures.

"I'm just real to myself. Just believing in what I can do. If you have goals it gives a nigga something to be motivated about," he says. "We stood on the same concrete at one time. With the same mindframe. My stuff is to motivate them. Letting you know where I'm from and what I've seen so you can get something out of it."

The streets responded by snatching up his mixtapes by the trunkload. But now that he has fans on the hook, Jeezy is ready to reel them in slow with this full length.

"I did the mixtape run, but on mixtapes you can't really give people you," he reasons. " I think people will really relate to the album. I ain't come into this for no broads or a wristwatch or a car. I came into this shit for a spot. I'mma reality kicker. I'm not gonna tell you what you wanna hear because it sounds good, I'mma give it to you raw."

Songs like the revealing "Let Me Talk To 'Em" show Jeezy apologizing for many of the wrongs in his life and attempting to set the next generation straight about the dark side of life in the traps. "A lot of the cats I looked up to that bought me school clothes and things I lost them," he says. "That's why I'm here now."

Setting the backdrop for his reality are producers Mannie Fresh - who's "Boom Boom Clap" powers Let's Get It's searing first single "And The What" - Jazze Pha and Shawty Red to name a few. The guest line up is a who's who of southern rap, but there will be plenty of Young Jeezy to bump from the coups to the corners.

"My whole thing is I want to restore some more morals back to this street shit," he concludes. "Niggas listen to niggas who rap. I just wanna feed the streets."

GD&TOP will re-release their first album with a brand new cover next month. YG Entertainment updated their fans on their decision to change GD&TOP’s logo on their official website with a news posting on June 29th.

The post reads:

“Hello. This is YG Entertainment.
We thank you all for supporting GD&TOP’s first album, which was released back on December 24th of last year.
GD&TOP’s logo, as stated before in many interviews, was designed combining a rabbit, in recognition of the year of the rabbit, and a fist holding up a V-sign that stands for victory.
It was based off of Playboy Enterprises International Inc.’s rabbit design logo.
However, our company didn’t receive permission from Playboy, who has trademark rights for their rabbit logo, and we’re not involved with Playboy in any shape or form.

For fans who’ve wondered and admired Jang Hyuk’s luxurious and muscular body, Jang Hyuk recently revealed the steps in making his muscular body on the June 29th broadcast of SBS’s ‘One Night of TV Entertainment‘.

His first secret was in making the arms muscular. Jan Hyuk revealed, “I always carry 10 kg. (22 pounds) worth of weights in the car.” He showed how he endured holding the weights 90 degrees as he did 1 set around 10 times with the 10 kg. weights .

He explained, “Your endurance gets better and the strength you need also increases as your muscles form.” He also suggested turning the dumbbell for 10 sets with 50 reps in a day to strengthen one’s wrists.

His second secret was in making the abs. Jang Hyuk suggested, “Every day, try to perform 100 high leg kicks. To make the abs toned you have to always be on the move. When you hold your legs up, you’re strengthening the stomach.”

Jang Hyuk’s last bonus secret was in creating a well balanced body as a practitioner of Jeet Kune Do, which was Bruce Lee’s martial art philosophy.

2PM members reveal old diet and move into new dorm
On the most recent episode of SBS TV’s One Night of TV Entertainment, the members of 2PM revealed how hard they worked during their 1st album activities to obtain their ideal bodies.

Apparently, the boys were very limited for their diet, and there were weeks when they were only allowed to eat chicken breast, apples, and sweet potatoes in order to keep their sharp, beastly image.

However, 2PM doesn’t have it all that bad. The boys also shared that they’ve now moved into a bigger dorm. Junho stated, “We recently moved dorms, and all the members were able to get a room they were happy with. Normally, we lived with two or three members in one room, but now we each get our own individual rooms so we get to do whatever we want.”

It’s been revealed that Mighty Mouth’s Sangchu lost a whopping 22 pounds in just ten days in order to film for Mighty Mouth’s new music video “La La La“.

On June 20th, Sangchu revealed two photos that showed his ‘Before & After’ self. In the first photo, he has a big belly that is sticking out, but in the second photo, he is seen posing with perfect ’six-pack’ abs.

His agency explained, “In order to film for a scene where he had to wear a swimsuit, Sangchu replaced his meals with pumpkin sweet potatoes and ran around the Han River everyday. Through this method, he was able to lose 1 kg a day for ten days, and lost a total of 10 kg (about 22 lbs), making a rapid and dramatic transformation from a heavier body to one with perfect ’six-pack’ abs. Although he only had a short time to lose weight, he kept up a strict diet and exercise routine.”

After seeing the photos, netizens left comments such as, “Is it really possible to do that in 10 days?”, “Whoa he has perfect abs“, and “I want to receive training lessons from Sangchu.”

1/3 pound lean ground beef
seasoned salt
ground black pepper
1 plain hamburger bun
1/2 tablespoon mayonnaise
1/4 cup chopped iceberg lettuce
1 tomato slice
1/2 tablespoon mustard
1/2 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
1 tablespoon chopped onion
3 dill pickle slices (hamburger slices)

Optional
1 slice American cheese
Grill the unsuspecting beef patty in a hot frying pan.
Slap the hot side and the cold side together.

1. Form the ground beef into a patty that is about 1 inch wider
than the circumference of the hamburger bun.
2. Preheat a non-stick frying pan to medium/high heat. Fry the
patty in the pan for 3 to 4 minutes per side or until done. Season
both sides of the beef with seasoned salt and ground black pepper.
3. As the meat cooks prepare the bun by spreading approximately 1/2
tablespoon of mayonnaise on the face of the top bun.

4. Place the lettuce on the mayonnaise, followed by the tomato slice.
5. When the beef is done place the patty on the bottom bun.
6. Spread about 1/2 tablespoon of mustard over the top of the beef
patty.
7. Spoon about 1/2 tablespoon of relish over the mustard.
8. Sprinkle the chopped onion onto the relish.
9. Arrange the pickles on the chopped onion.
10. Bring the two halves of the burger together and serve with
gumption.
Makes 1 burger.

Tidbits
If you want cheese on your burger, put a slice of American cheese
on the face of the bottom bun before adding the beef patty. The
heat from the meat will melt the cheese.

Lil Wayne is gearing up to release Tha Carter IV, his highly anticipated follow up to 2008’s multi-platinum smash album, Tha Carter III, but before putting the long delayed disc on shelves, XXL sat down with Mr. Carter in Miami’s famed studio The Hit Factory for our forthcoming July/August 2011 issue to speak on everything from his recording process, his retirement plans, Drake and Nicki Minaj’s success, and why he’ll never record with pop sensation Justin Bieber.

Writer Shaheem Reid, chopped it up with Weezy in Miami about how a rapper as prolific as himself, was able to actually select tracks for Tha Carter IV. Asked, when he knew that the album was ready, Wayne said: “You don’t. When they tell you. When [manager Cortez Bryant] call me and tell me and say, ‘You got such and such date is your deadline to stop,’ I be like, ‘Aight.’ ’Cause I never stop recording, obviously. So it’s just on him to say, “Okay, stop. We’re gonna pick these songs, and that’s the album.’ That’s how we do it.”

Fans might ask what fills the contents of such songs? Weezy explains: “What is good about me is that I’m an interesting muthafucka. I’m Dwayne Michael Carter period! Whether I’m a rapper or not, I’m interesting. And that’s what my album’s gonna be about: me and how interesting I am.”

The Young Money leader also revealed to XXL that he plans to retire soon and hints at C4 possibly being his last offering. “I’m bowing out still on top,” he says. “I’ma make y’all want me when I retire. I’ma make y’all be like, ‘Nooo!’ I ain’t leaving out this bitch when y’all be like, ‘Yeah, it’s about time, dawg.’ Carter IV might be my last one. I’ma make y’all be like, ‘Fuck!’ Yeah, nigga, I’m gone.”

Wayne saying being a good father to his children would be the cause for an retirement. “Honestly, this is the real truth,” he says. “I honestly think it’s unfair to my kids. I’m super dedicated into what I do. Like, it’s no questions—it’s hands down, I do this. I live this. I don’t have a day out my week that I do something else. I do this every day of my life, and I’m not about to stop, ’cause that’s the only way you can succeed in this business, is to do it the way I do it. I want to succeed the way I want to succeed. You can succeed. You can put out a hit… But to do it the way I want to do it, to be comfortable to do what the fuck I want to do, you’ve got to work like no other. Like I said, it’s unfair to my kids. So about 30, 31, 32, I gotta get ready.

Luckily for Wayne his superstar Young Money signees, Drake and Nicki Minaj, are sure to keep his pockets fat in his absence. In fact, Birdman, Jr. counts on it. “You already know what I expect,” Weezy says of Drizzy and Nick’s imminent success. “I expect to eat, and eat well. I expect [Drake] to be a lot more successful than he has ever been. I mean, this guy’s a superstar. He is the definition. That’s what I told y’all before he was: ‘That’s the definition of a superstar.’ And like Nicki, he’s only breaking ice. He has yet to be who he’s going to be. I’m banking on them.”

While fans can expect to hear both Heartbreak Drake and Ms. Minaj on Tha Carter IV, it’s the two Justin’s that Weezy F. also talks about. “That’s my little homie now,” Wayne says of The Biebs. “He texts me every night asking me to do [his] damn song. That’s my nigga, but I can’t do it. Like I said, I don’t want to fuck his shit up. But like I said, I want to work with Justin Timberlake. That boy got a voice; that boy can sing. He needs to come back right there on Tha Carter IV.”

Along with Lil Wayne, XXL’s July/August 2011 issue also features interviews with Weezy’s buddy, Justin Bieber, out-there interviewer Nardwuar, and producer Boi-1da. In addition XXL investigates hip-hop’s controversial history with homophobia, while also sitting down with the rap world’s most colorful, heterosexual couple, Ice-T & Coco and much, much more.

Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV Pushed Back to August 29, Rep Confirms

XXLMag.com has learned that Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated eighth studio album, Tha Carter IV, has been pushed back.
Last set to come out on June 21, a rep for Weezy’s parent label, Universal Motown, has confirmed with XXL that the disc will now be delayed until August 29. We also learned his next single will be hitting the airwaves around July 4. That song has yet to be determined.
Wayne recently dropped the third song from the album, “How to Love.”
